ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Thomas Forwood is the superintendent at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park in Mission, TX. He was a ranger and naturalist professionally for 10 years in Montana and has been a de facto naturalist since his childhood where he grew up in Pennsylvania. Birds were his first passion, but as a park ranger in Montana he worked at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park where bats were a big part of education and messaging. He delivered countless bat programs and has now brought that knowledge and enthusiasm for some of our most unique mammals with him to South Texas.
