Our 9th concert in The Listening Sessions on SPI season marks a full-circle moment as Jenuine Cello reunites with longtime collaborator and friend Monti for an evening of songwriting arranged for voice and cello. The two have shared the stage at The Art Lounge once before and originally worked together in Austin, TX in the band Lauren Silva & The Changes. Together, they return to their roots with an intimate, stripped-down experience that highlights the heart of Monti’s songwriting: vulnerability, connection, and truth.

Monti the Artist (Lauren Silva) is an award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, and performer whose music fuses soul, rock, blues, and cinematic pop with raw storytelling rooted in resilience. From a turbulent upbringing to building a global career, Monti has transformed her life experiences into powerful, emotionally charged music that resonates across cultures and stages worldwide.

“The Listening Sessions” is the RGV’s only monthly music series of its kind. Surrounded by art and stillness, the performances transform the room into a shared listening sanctuary, offering music and art enthusiasts the opportunity to gather in a space intentionally curated for an unforgettable experience.
